My design for these kicks was inspired by the special snakeskin leather material, the design of the Supreme SB Dunk and Air Force 1 quickstrikes, and Machinima's black/red color pallette. I really like the way they look onscreen. The sole is cool grey and the midsole is wrapped in cool grey snakeskin print leather. The stitching on the midsole is in varsity red. The tip, eyestay, and heel are all varsity red snakeskin print leather. The base, tongue, and the quarter are cool grey nubuck. The lining is cool grey nylon and the laces are cool grey too. The swoosh and heel tab are black nubuck and I went with Nike Air branding on the heel instead of something custom. The branding is embroidered in cool grey.

Jennifer bought these for me for my birthday in January 2013. When she copped my first ever pair of pewter foamposite AF1s for me at Christmas, I showed her these and she loved them. I'm really, really digging the foamposite AF1s. They're heavy as hell but they are comfortable nonetheless and they look great. I wore the pewter ones on trips to Nestle Purina and Coca-Cola last week and got several compliments on them over the course of the trip.
The in-box photo of this "new green - black" pair below looks way more blue than the actual kicks are in-person. They're more green really but it's an iridescent green so I'm not surprised the photo looks the way it does.

This is pair 7 of 7 of the 2013 Kicksmas celebration. @jdoohan designed them on NIKEiD. I've been telling her that all one color, simpler designs are what I'm digging more these days. These are all one color but I wouldn't call them simple. The plan is to wear these for New Year's Eve. They will be perfect. Nothing major planned. We are just going to go to @CraftLA for dinner and then back home to celebrate with the pups.
Jen did these in all metallic gold upper leather including the tongue. She did not add contrast stitching instead going for all gold thread on the upper. The liner and the laces are black. The thread attaching the cup sole is gold and the midsole and sole are both black to match the lining. On the left outside heel, Jen had them stitch "KD" in white and on the right outside heel, "NAHOOD" (my XBOX Live gamertag) is stitched in white.
